Upon successful completion of the course through written examination and skills testing, candidates will receive a certificate in accordance with Section A-V1/1 Paragraph 2 of the STCW 95 Code.

After being accepted, you then need to come into to CFTDI with two (2) forms of valid ID (passport, national identification card, or driver’s permit) and a completed seafarer’s medical. You must also have basic literacy (English).

For all courses you must be at least 17 years of age and have basic literacy (English). For the Maritime courses you must obtain a basic medical.

No. Once you meet the basic requirements for entry you will be able to qualify.

Registration is free.

Basic courses start from $400 and advanced courses can cost up to $4,600.

Yes, we offer accommodation for male students only.

Shared occupancy is $325 per week or part thereof.

Single occupancy is $400 per week or part thereof.

Yes.

There are shuttle services available during the lunch break to take students to and from classroom to cafeteria.

There are also shuttle services available in the morning before class begins to take students from their living accommodations to class and at the end of classes to take students back to their living accommodations.

Shuttle services are also provided for field trips.

Students living off campus are responsible for getting themselves to the campus on mornings and back home after classes.

From time to time employees may call and ask for recommendations.
